Experience music the way it deserves to be – the way the artist intended – when high-resolution music stations arrive this fall at more than 70 Best BuyMagnolia Design Centers before the holidays.
Sony Electronics is bringing these Hi-Res Music Stations – an industry first – to life as Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group will offer customers a wide-range of music to experience.
The display — complete with Hi-Res Sony headphones, portable DACs, portable players and state-of-the-art components for audiophiles — will promote a variety of clips from both new and classic recordings across every genre, in addition to offering information on accessing high-res digital files from participating music providers.
“The addition of Hi-Res Music Stations offers fans of high-resolution music the chance to experience the next wave of audio technology at more than 70 Magnolia Design Centers,” said Mike Crane, director of audio for Magnolia Design Centers.
President of Sony Electronics Mike Fasulo said this is how music listening was meant to be.
“Thanks to this program, music enthusiasts will finally get the opportunity to hear their favorite recordings digitally, just like the artist intended,” he said.
Select Magnolia Designer Center locations will also be used to promote numerous high-res activities, as well as album artwork, launch parties and receptions.
“We’re thrilled more music fans than ever will be able to experience our growing catalog of high-res music at the largest electronics retailer in the U.S.,” said Vice President of Technology & Production at Universal Music Group Jim Belcher.
“There is no more transcendent experience in music than hearing the full depth and richness of a recording as the artist heard it in the studio,” said Craig Kallman, Chairman & CEO of Atlantic Records. “As a long-time audiophile, I’ve been championing the quest to create a great sonic experience in the digital world, and I’m thrilled to say that moment has arrived. Best Buy’s Magnolia Design Centers will be a great tool to raise fan awareness of how great digital music can sound.”
